Learning to Dance Ballroom Like the Stars

Have you ever watched the show Dancing with the Stars on ABC and wished you could learn to dance just like they learned to dance? I understand completely as both my wife and I have also surprised and wished this same thing when we watched the show.

Being a man though that is not ordinary I suppose I will admit to not being ashamed to liking, OK let me be honest here, loving to be with out with my wife. Yes that means that being with your wife also can mean dancing and having a wonderful time not just being in a pub shooting pool or whatever else you like to do guys.

I realized that after watching the TV show Dancing with the Stars that is it possible to learn dancing in a better way then just going around trying to dance the way I danced in High School. It was not sexy nor pretty those kind of movements, and now at my age it probably is not that good for me either. Laugh if you may!

Now that brings up another point, the topic of being good for ones health too. I have noticed that this Show Dancing with the Stars also benefits our fitness and body shape. The Stars seem to becoming more and more fit each and every week, their shapes and sizes changing so dramatically, so quickly as I sat there on the couch eating. So who really gave it any thought that dancing The Rhumba, The Samba, The Tango, The Jive, The Waltz, The Cha Cha or The Tango could make exercise such an enjoyable experience and with such huge benefits too. Well I certainly did not realize it but now I am reaping the benefits.

Guys, lets get back to us, can you see yourself on the dance floor, moving to the beats of Salsa, Samba, Waltz's and even the Tango with other guys in the room looking at you with envy? That is something that can happen to you as it is happening for me as my wife and I playfully learn to dance the Salsa using the Let's Dance Louis DVD Set. After we get this Salsa Dance completed we have 7 other dances to learn. I think we will try learning the Latin Dances first.

Lastly, there are more benefits to this learning to dance opportunity my wife and I have ventured onto and this is the best, absolutely the best thing that happens from ballroom dancing with my wife cheek to cheek. I am pretty sure you have figured it out already, and it is that our relationship has prospered, flourished, back to the point when our time spent together was filled with passion, excitement and laughter.

Now I think that this has been an excellent investment to my future life with my wife if not the best investment of my life.

Thank you "Louis van Amstel" from "Louis Lets Dance"!

Day Trading Rules to Live By

Most people looking to make money in the markets believe that the answer lies in finding some simple technical analysis strategies that will catapult them to profitability.

The truth is that trading is not as simple as beginners believe. It is a profession, and like any profession it requires a learning curve. Reading a book or getting a few simple “tips” is not going to turn you into a professional trader.

After studying for a length of time, it’s not uncommon for students to begin their search for the “holy grail.”

They search for more indicators, chart patterns, gurus, alert services or the latest secret day trading strategies and other things that will provide their answer to becoming successful.

But here’s the fact. Success lies within you .. and it won’t come easy.

In fact, one of my favorite success principles is this:

“Successful people do what unsuccessful people are unwilling to do.”

Let’s apply this to trading in the form of my list of “Day Trading Rules to Live By” … all of which have to do more with you than with the market.

  1. The consistency you need is in your mind, not in the market. Many in the market get frustrated because the market often behaves differently than they expect. You can’t rely on the market to be consistent. It is largely a random walk. But there are times when the market does setup with a probability scenario that gives you an edge. Your job is be consistent in trading those probability setups and trade them every time they occur.
  2. Trade like a cat. Most beginners over trade. It’s one of the most common trading sins. Your job is to be better than other day traders in having the discipline to wait like a cat in the brush until just the right moment (your high probability setup) and then jump on the trade without hesitation.
  3. Successful trading is simply a game of not making mistakes. Keep a list of your day trading rules posted on the wall or on your monitor and then follow those rules perfectly. You must be more disciplined than the average trader. Never depart from your rules no matter how good a trade “looks” or “feels” to you if it violates your objective and back-tested rules.
  4. Only trade when you are in an optimal emotional state. Never trade when you are tired or are in an emotionally unstable situation (after a fight with a spouse or friend for example). Day trading is more like athletics than academics. Trading on such a short time frame requires you to be able to make split second decisions, and you’re risking a lot of money when you do. Make sure your mind is sharp and your emotions are centered.
  5. Keep a detailed trading log. Every day trading course I’ve seen has a trading log. Yet my experience in dealing with trading students demonstrates that less than 10% of them actually use it. This is a huge mistake. Not only should you log every trade, but you should also record how you felt and what you were thinking as you took the trade. In this way your logs will become a type of “biofeedback” mechanism for you. Personally, this was the difference that made all the difference for me.

These 5 day trading rules are not the type of rules that you were probably looking for. The masses want rules about indicators, price bars, where you get in and where you get out.

Granted, you definitely need clear objective rules about those things as well. Yet thousands of traders have those types of rules, and yet continue to fail because those rules are about market action.

They fail because they don’t have, or don’t follow, the more important rules the rules about their own action.

If you find yourself resisting the importance of these rules about your own behavior, realize that you are one of the masses who feels the same way. But since the masses fail at day trading, you must set yourself apart and do something different than them.

Following these 5 day trading rules are what the retail traders fail to do. Not because they can’t do them, but because they are unwilling to do them. And remember, “Successful people do what unsuccessful people are unwilling to do.”

Elementary Science Fair Projects – Make Your Own "Litmus" Paper And Use It

In today’s Elementary Science Fair Project we are going to make our own “Litmus” paper and then we are going to use it. Do you know what “Litmus” paper is and what it is used for? Yes, it is the paper used in chemical laboratories to test for acid or alkali, it changes color and that is how you can see whether a substance is acid or alkali. The litmus paper turns red-pink in acid and green in alkali. This is an easy and fun Elementary Science Fair Project. Because there is some boiling involved, this experiment should be done under adult supervision.

This is what you need to make your “Litmus” paper:

  • Some grated fresh red cabbage
  • Water, enough to fill your jar
  • Paper towels, 2″ strips
  • A wide-mouthed jar
  • Other fruits, flowers and vegetables

How to do it:

  1. Boil the cabbage in the water for about 10 minutes.
  2. Let it cool down.
  3. Strain it into a wide-mouthed jar.
  4. Take your 2″ strips of paper towels and soak it in the juice for a minute.
  5. Let the strips of paper dry.
  6. You now have your “Litmus” paper that you can use.
  7. Now make paper in the same way with different substance such as fruits, flowers and vegetables. When we start testing, you will see that the color changes are different and because of what you see with the cabbage “litmus” paper, you’ll be able to determine what color of your alternative “litmus” paper shows acid and what color shows you an alkali.

Now we are going to experiment with our different “litmus” papers

What you will need for this elementary science fair project:

  • Your “litmus” paper
  • A little bit of leman juice in a small bottle
  • A little bit of grapefruit juice in a small bottle
  • A little bit of pineapple juice in a small bottle
  • Some vinegar in a small bottle
  • A little bit of dissolved baking soda in a small bottle
  • Some milk in a small bottle
  • A little rubbing alcohol in a small bottle
  • Some soap in a small bottle
  • Oil in a small bottle
  • A small medicine dropper
  • Sticker labels
  • A black felt tipped pen

This is what you have to do:

  1. Start with your “cabbage litmus” paper and drop a little bit of each onto your paper.
  2. Remember to wash your dropper after each one.
  3. You will see that the ones that are acid will turn pink.
  4. The ones that turn the litmus paper green are call “bases” and are alkaline.
  5. With your stickers, mark each one clearly as either acid or alkaline.
  6. Now you place a little drop of all your juices onto your other “litmus” papers and record the color changes.
  7. Now you know what color each of the alternative “litmus” papers turn for acid and for alkaline substances.

This is a fun elementary science project and very easy to do. To find out how the results of this experiment can show you why poison control centers used to recommend vinegar or lemon juice for some kinds of poisons visit Elementary Science Fair Projects

2 Car Garage Plans – How to Properly Size Your New Garage

Properly sized 2 car garage plans will add value to your home, save you a lot of future aggravation and could save you some money. There are hundreds of free and almost free garage plans available for purchase or immediate download from the internet. Make a bad choice and you may actually decrease the value of your home.

When I recently conducted a home plan search in the 2100 to 2499 square foot category, 40 of the 50 I found were 2 car garage plans. A few of the garages were 24 'square (a good thing), with many in the 20' X 20 'range (NOT so good) and one 19' wide (ludicrous!).

What kind of cars do you drive? Better yet, what kinds of cars do the future buyers of your home drive? If the world had nothing to store and everyone devve a Mini Cooper, no problem. For the rest of us, plan on 24 'square at a minimum.

Why so big? Many of today's popular cars and SUVs are 16 to 17 feet long, leaving little room to walk around the car with the garage door closed. Worse yet, install 18 "to 24" deep storage shelves or a 25 "deep workbench in front of your cars and there is not room for you.

With so many people parking their $ 20,000 + automobiles outside, you would think the CRAP stored inside was actually worth something. If you do have valuable stuff stored inside, why not make room for your cars, too? Add a garage workbench, a tool box, a few tools and some recreational equipment and things could get really tight.

Compare these two garage plans:

1. Plan one is 20 'deep with a 16' long Chevrolet Trailblazer parked inside. With one foot of clearance at the back of the Trailblazer you only have three feet in front. Add a 25 "deep workbench and there is 11" left for skinny you. Drive a full sized pickup and you're sunk.

2. Plan two is 24 'deep with the same Trailblazer parked inside and one foot of clearance at the back. Now you have nearly five feet between your vehicle and the workbench.

What about width? Most garage planners advise you to leave 30 "between cars and any obstruction, including other cars, walls, etc. Why? You can open your car door and get you and your stuff out without complaints.

Let's again compare two garage plans:

1. Plan one is 20 'wide. With 30 "between two average cars (about 6'3" wide each) and between your cars and the walls, your garage must be a least 20 'wide. There is no room for shelving.

2. Plan two is 24 'wide. With 24 "shelving on both walls you still have 30" between and near your cars.

How much more do 2 car garage plans cost? If you buy a house with a 20 'square garage and a 30 year, $ 200,000 mortgage at 6% interest, your payment would be about $ 1,240 per month. Expanding your garage to 24 'square adds 176 square feet to the house and $ 8,800 to the cost (at $ 50 per square foot or less for garage space). Your payment increases by about $ 53 per month. How much are you paying for mini storage?

In addition to valuable storage space, room for a garage workbench, toolbox, shelving, etc., your cars are less likely to get door dings, you will not have to back out of the garage to let someone climb in and your mini storage Costs will go down. The resale value of your home will also likely go up in the future and your home may even sell sooner than a similar one with a smaller garage. What's the bottom line? When you search for 2 car garage plans, it really pays to be picky.

NOTE: The financial examples in this article are for illustration purposes only. Your particular circumstances, real estate market and building costs may vary from those provided here.

Billy Graham’s Final Chapter

Let’s consider this: if your entire life story is being written in a book, how would you like the last chapter to read?

It would seem Billy Graham has been giving serious consideration to this question within the recent decade. The last proof of this preoccupation occurred about two weeks ago when he rescinded the label of “cult” from Mormonism on his website and endorsed Mitt Romney for the presidency of the United States. Is it true that Billy Graham, amongst many other Christian Fundamentalists, have found themselves in a hot seat of doctrinal apostasy?

This is the question that will wrestle on the minds of many in Christendom today and for years to come. There’s a wind of change sweeping society that may go unnoticed for what it is; where carefully crafted comments from prominent preachers fall on docile ears as new revelations from their preferred prophets.

But when one considers the doctrinal premise of their words the true sentiment of their message is undeniable. Ministers, pastors and evangelists are stepping away from the beaten path of fundamentalism to embrace an all-inclusive gospel that is without question falls deeper into the ballpark of Christian Universalism than the orthodoxy of the centuries.

The Graham/Schuler Interview

Within this present decade, another glaring case in point is a television interview the Reverend Billy Graham had with Robert Schuler (May 31, 1997). Graham scored a point, not for orthodoxy, but for Christian universalism when Schuler ask the question: “Tell me, what do you think is the future of Christianity?”

Graham’s answer jolted Schuler when he said: “I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they’re conscious of it or not, they’re members of the Body of Christ… God’s purpose for this age is to call out a people for His name. And that’s what God is doing today, He’s calling people out of the world for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ, because they’ve been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus, but they know in their hearts that they need something that they don’t have, and they turn to the only light that they have, and I think they are saved, and that they’re going to be with us in heaven.”

Schuler, with a gem of astonishment on his face wondered if he was really hearing what heard. He asked another question to be certain. “What, what I hear you saying, that it’s possible for Jesus Christ to come into human hearts and soul and life, even if they’ve been born in darkness and have never had exposure to the Bible. Is that a correct interpretation of what you’re saying?”

Graham’s unflinching response was: “Yes, it is, because I believe that.” Schuler was intellectually dislocated because that comment was not what he expected to hear from the legendary preacher. Perhaps someone like Universalist Ken R. Vincent; but certainly not Billy Graham.

Dr. Vincent, who is an author and board member of the Universalist Herald, would eagerly enjoin the above sentiments with a similar thought as is stated in his book, The Golden Thread: “Many Universalists today maintain that other faiths also know the Way to God. It is widely accepted that all modern religions teach the importance of good works and have some version of ‘The Golden Rule.”

In this book he also echoes the universalist views of John Paul II, when the Pope, in 1979 wrote: “Every man has been redeemed by Christ… Christ is in a way united even when man is unaware of it” (pg.68-69). Schuler, now being more pedantic, surrendered to the overwhelming of the moment and concluded that, “There’s a wideness to God’s mercy.”

Voices of Reason

As in everything that pertains to religion and the Bible, interpretation plays an important part. What has been true for centuries is that one man’s heresy can be another man’s truth. And what is one denomination’s apostasy is another denomination’s orthodoxy. Even so, it has always been the role of scholars and theologians to make sense of the difference.

With the unique skills they have of entering into individual doctrinal boxes of belief, often comes the truth that sets the soul free. Perhaps the greatest question that arises from Graham’s changing theological worldview is, “Are you willing to step outside of your religious box to find God where He is?”

While this writer cannot speak for everything Dr. Graham does and says, I do find that the repudiation of his statement by Dr. Robert Kofahl not only just a little one-sided but also very much short-sighted. When he labels Graham a heretic based on these statements it demonstrates one of the major failures of religious fundamentalism: arguing from the box.

Dr. Kofahl hastened to quote Romans 10:13-15 as if that alone is conclusive enough to debunk Graham’s statements. It is clear from other Scriptures that this text Paul wrote to the Romans has to be weighed in with several other texts in order for anyone to understand how the process works.

He also quotes Jesus’ words when He say, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (Jhn 14:6). But Jesus also says, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him” (Jhn 6:44). Is this contradictory? No! By allowing other Scriptures to explain those, the right conclusions can be drawn.

When Graham said, “I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they’re conscious of it or not, they’re members of the body of Christ.., apparently, he was mindful of Romans 2:14-16; which says:

Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature

things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even

though they do not have the law, since they show that the

requirements of the law are written in their hearts, their

consciences also bearing witness, their thoughts now accusing,

now even defending them. (NIV)

This may well be a sterling explanation of the process by which the Sovereign Lord reaches some people when He’s ready to draw them to Christ. It is through the Divine Spirit’s prodding on their conscience that they’re led. No human has the right to say because they’re Muslim they cannot come, they’re Buddhist they cannot come, they’re pagans they cannot come. And when Graham said, God’s purpose for this age is to call out a people for His name… he could’ve been thinking of Acts 15:14-16; which says,

Peter has told you about the time God first visited the Gentiles

to take from them a people to bring honor to His name. And

this fact of Gentile conversion agrees with what the prophets

predicted. For instance, listen to this passage from the prophet,

Amos: ‘Afterwards [says the Lord], I will turn and renew the

broken contract with David, so that Gentiles, too, will find the

Lord-all those marked with my name’ (LB).

Or John 10:16 which says:

I have other sheep, too, in another fold. I must bring them also,

and they will heed my voice; and there will be one flock with

one Shepherd.

It seems the Sovereign God’s plan of the ages to reconcile people to Himself is ignored or misunderstood by some of the staunchest fundamentalists. Because when Graham also says, “They may not even know the name Jesus… ” he apparently was musing on the first-century incident that took place in Athens recorded in Acts 17:22-23:

“Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: ‘Men of Athens! I see that in every way you are religious. For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. Now what you worship as something unknown I am going to proclaim Him to you.”

The name Jesus was the unknown “something.” By Paul’s very words, it shows that even though the Athenians did not know or spoke the name Jesus, they were worshipping Him. And so Paul led them to the next step by opening their minds to a better understanding of God and Christ. Isn’t that what all Christians are trying to do everyday -know more about God?

When God draws people to Himself, apparently it is done according to a process, according to the order of whom He chooses to be amongst His first-fruits -the Bride of Christ. Perhaps, what some Fundamentalists need to clear from their heads is the fact that when it comes to salvation, no man can make the first move! It is God that draws them from wherever they are and from whatever conditions of life they are predisposed to! Even faith is a gift from God.

Truth to Set the Soul Free

Billy Graham, who has spent many years of his life teaching the Bible, knows how to speak from his head some times, and from his heart at other times, or both, within the doctrinal box that bound him. But now in the twilight years of his career, apparently he has chosen to speak from his heart and his head and outside of the limitation of a doctrinal box. Apparently, he feels an obligation to the truth; to speak what he thinks the world should know. It seems that that truth is more akin to Christian Universalism than Christian orthodoxy; and this perhaps for at least four reasons:

First, Christian Universalism differs widely from the Calvinist influence; hence a far cry from the bad news gospel of Fundamentalism that portrays a God of eternal torture in hell as motivation for doing good. According to Eric Stetson, Executive Director of the Christian Universalist Association, and in his book, Christian Universalism, “The Christian religion has lost its way, exchanging the hopeful message of Jesus, Paul, Peter, John, and their earliest disciples for a different doctrine invented by church theologians, imposed by Roman emperors, and established as the central teachings of ‘orthodox Christianity’ centuries ago.”

Stetson believes, as do millions of other Universalists, that Christianity has inherited a false gospel crafted from the Augustinian doctrine of eternal torture. It is believed that this gospel is based on an incorrect interpretation of the two Greek words, aion and aionios to mean eternal, when the correct interpretation is age-long or age-enduring.

It stands to reason that a God who admonishes humans to love their enemies, would not do any less to His, and sentence for any reason multiple billions of people to a torture chamber for eternity for wrongs done in a brief lifetime on earth.

Second, Christian Universalism takes a honest approach to the authority of the Bible. According to David and Zoe Sulem, in the book, God’s Plan for All, “All contradictions found in any version of the Bible are due to man’s translation or interpretation errors. The Holy Spirit is our teacher and our guide, and He leads us into all truth. We are fully dependent upon Him to transcend all human translation and interpretation errors.”

This is a declaration of the formidability of God’s word; that the Holy Scripture has never, nor can ever be lost to those who are yielded, and who remain connected to the Holy Spirit. This thought goes hand-in-hand with what Jesus said: “He is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit who leads you into all truth” (Jhn 14:17).

Third, Christian Universalism is believed to be the original gospel taught by Christ and the apostles. Christian Universalists describe a time when Church Fathers agree, and what later caused them to disagree. They also identify which ones remained true to the teachings of Christ and the apostles as opposed to those who crafted a counterfeit gospel. Prominent Universalist authors are adept in making a distinction between three Christian schools of thought:

“All Bible believing Christians fall into one of the three categories of Christian beliefs, known as Calvinism, Arminianism, and Universalism… With regards to salvation, every professing Christian inevitably falls into one of them, whether he understands or is aware of these terms or not” (Sulem, 233).

While Calvinism and Arminianism are highly influenced by Augustine’s radical Catholic theology of eternal torment in hell, Universalists believe that the church fathers of truth that remained with the original gospel of Christ and the apostles were Clement of Alexandria, Origen and Gregory of Nyssa.

These Church Fathers trumpeted the truth that says, because God is loving and is the quintessential Father, every chastisement is corrective and reconciling and no one will be lost forever. It appears that fundamentalists are so selfishly preoccupied with being the “special” ones who are “Raptured” into heaven, they fail to study the Scripture further about God’s reconciling plan for those who are left behind.

Fourth, Christian Universalism is predicated on the fact that belief and adherence to Christian Universalism transcend denominational ties. “Universalism is a way of understanding God’s love as revealed through the prophets and Jesus. It reflects a change of heart and doesn’t require a change of denomination” (Vincent, 72).

Eric Stetson adds a similar thought when he says, “Many ministers, writers, and theologians from diverse denominational and geographical backgrounds advocated various types of Biblical Universalism instead of the traditional belief in eternal conscious torment” (120).

Even so, in a similar way that the Christian church was comparatively marginal in the first century, so is Christian Universalism in the twenty-first century. Is history repeating itself? If it is, then the words of Gamaliel (Acts 5:38-39) when he addressed the Jewish council in Jerusalem about Apostle Paul and the new movement, is timelessly applicable when he said, “If what they teach and do is merely on their own, it will soon be overthrown. But if it is of God, you will not be able to stop them, lest you find yourselves fighting against God.”

Tips On Things To Carry To Your Temporary Home

Is your home getting a remodeling or repair work done? Are you worried that you need to move out to a temporary home and you need to do packing and stuff? That is a difficult task. Selecting things that you will only require in your temporary home is tough.

Here are a few tips that will help you to sort the things you want to take with you.

Sort out things room-by-room – Do a quick survey of the things you own. Select one room for a day or two, and sort the things in each room. You can empty out your belongings from drawers, closets and shelves and create groups into the ones you want to move with yourself, the ones you want to give away and the ones you want to store for a bigger home.

Decide what to take with yourself when you move to your temporary house – Only keep the things you require in your temporary house. It would be advisable if you only take kitchen utensils, linens, towels and other small things you think you will need. This is if your temporary home is furnished; if not then it is obvious you will have to get some basic furniture like beds, chairs, kitchen table, coffee table, couch and other pieces of furniture. Pack clothes according to the season in which you will be staying at your temporary home. It is better if you include some clothes of the adjoining seasons.

Confused as to what to put in storage and what to take with you? – Here is an idea. Think that your temporary house is a major real estate which will be used by you every day and that your storage is the vacation home for all your stuff. The things you will not require every day can be kept in your store house. If you need an item that will be helpful for you for the season in which you are moving into the temporary house, then you can take it along with you. Other seasons’ items need to go into the storage.

Box, label and move – Take photos of all the items you want to put in the storage and save them on your computer so that you will have record of the things in your storage. You can also put pictures of the items outside of each storage boxes for reference purpose. While packing your items make sure you separate them properly; one should be for storage and one for moving purpose. This will be helpful for you so that you can tell the movers as to which will go with you and which will go to storage.

Starcraft 2 Terran Vs Zerg Rush Defense – Stop Dying to Early Zergling Tricks

As a Starcraft 2 Terran player, you are very susceptible to early game rushes. If Zerg or Protoss is rushed it may result in losing a few workers, whereas when you are rushed it could mean losing the game. Marines are pretty flimsy, so you have to do your best to protect them with what you have early in the game.

Many newer players will probably feel most comfortable completely walling off the entrance to their base when up against Zerg players. This way if they send early Zerglings, they will be stuck attacking your Supply Depots while your Marines fire on them with impunity.

But there are other ways that Zerg can rush too. Here are 4 different rush strategies and how to spot them when you scout in a Terran vs Zerg matchup. Zerg does not have any way to proxy, and I have not seen a strategy for an early Hatchery + Spine Crawler push yet. So get your scout into their base early to see what they are up to.

Zergling Rush

This strategy has been around since the early days of the original Starcraft, catching unsuspecting players with no defenses and taking early wins. If their Spawning Pool is already up or almost done when you get your scout in their base you better bet that there's going to be some early Zerglings to your base. To fight this off finish your wall off quickly and get a Marine out to push them back so they can not kill your buildings.

Roach Rush:

This strategy is not as popular as it was in beta when Roaches were only 1 supply. If your scout sees the Spawning Pool up and one gas being mined, then wander around his base for awhile to see what he's up to. If an early Roach Warren gets put down you'll have to tech up to Marauders to keep them at bay.

A little more popular is the Zergling to Roach transition. The Zerg player will start off with a ton of Zerglings and bait you to get a lot of Hellions and Marines. Then he will quickly transition to a big Roach force that will handily take out your force and destroy your base, so watch out for it!

Baneling Bust

Banelings are extremely dangerous and will take out Supply Depots and Marines really fast. If your scout sees that a Baneling Nest has been built, then you need to reinforce your wall. Just a few Banelings will take out a Supply Depot then you could have a bunch of Zerglings streaming into your base through the hole. Getting some early Hellions to roast them and Marauders to stand in front of your Marines can help you fend off an early Baneling Bust.

Mutalisk Rush

If your scout gets into your opponent's base and see 2 gas extractors put up, then there's a good chance that he's going to do a 1 base Mutalisk rush. After he gets the Spawning Pool he'll immediately upgrade to a Lair and put a Spire down. You'll need a lot of Marines and / or Thors to fight off Mutalisks. Tech up quickly and keep scouting to be sure that's what he's going for.
