Winning competitions will help you through your life. Regardless of whether you are competitive or not, competitions will occur in your life. You do not have to be in a sport or have a specific hobby to be in a competition. You can be competitive over a job position, buying a house and even getting a pet can be competitive.
There are some people that thrive in competition; Although for those that do not it might be beneficial for you to understand how the competitive mind works. Or least you should understand the things that will help you excel in these arenas; Especially if you do not naturally excel in these areas.
Having some self-knowledge is invaluable when it comes to competition. If you are vying for a new job position, you will be up against other people that you may have some or little knowledge about those you are running against.
Some people do better if they have some knowledge base about those they are competitive against; Other people may become intimidated if they know too much about the people that they are in the running with. You can use information to educate yourself or you can use information to intimidate your opponents.
Essentially, you are looking for what motivates you to succeed. Once, you fully understand your own motivations and how to play to them; Your knowledge of your opponents will not be that critical. You might be in a situation where you can not have any information about the competition, so you need to be able to play to your own strengths and positive qualities.
Make sure that you are in the best mental and physical condition that you can be in. Regardless of whether it is a physical competition or not, you need to be always on the top of your game. Stay focused and try to be prepared for anything that may come your way. Winning competitions is due largely to a belief in yourself and your ability to be on top of your game.
So you’re currently learning how to DJ and want to know how to beatmatch perfectly?
If you are serious about learning how to become a quality DJ the number one thing you need to master is how to beatmatch correctly. Beatmatching is all about getting the beat of two separate tracks running in perfect synchronization. Doing this allows you to move between tracks seamlessly, keeping the energy high and the dancefloor jumping.
The idea is to try and beatmatch any two tunes that have close to the same tempo by adjusting the variable pitch control on the deck of the tune that you are mixing in.
While learning how to DJ and in particular beatmatching it’s a great idea to write the tempo of each of your tunes down, either on the record or CD sleeve. This will help you know which tracks realistically can and can’t have their tempos matched. It will also give you a more than handy head start, you will know straight away if the tune you are about to mix in needs to be slowed down or sped up.
The tempos are expressed in BPM (beats per minute) you can work this out by manually counting how many beats you hear in 15 seconds and then multiply it by 4, giving you the beats per minute.
TIP: Most modern DJ mixers these days come with BPM counters – I would suggest you only look at these to get a general idea of a tunes tempo; ideally you will be fine tuning your beatmatching much further than those displays.
The best way to start getting the feel of beatmatching is by getting two copies of the same tune synchronized and playing in time with each other. By using two of the same tunes the tempos of both will be exactly the same, you won’t have to worry about using the variable pitch controls to precisely match the beats.
TIP:Essentially all you will need to do is drop the tune in on beat then either manually catch it up or slow it down if required, keeping them synchronised for the duration of the track.
When starting out and learning how to DJ this will help train your brain to separate both of the beats, there are no short cuts when it comes to learning how to beatmatch. The only way to achieve beatmatching perfection is through repetition and practice, lots of it!
If you don’t have two copies of the same track to mix together your next best option is to download a Free Beatmatching Genius loop – well worth checking out if you haven’t already.
Advanced Beat – Bar & Phrase Matching
Once you have put the right amount of time into your beatmatching skills, if you want to become the best DJ you can then you shouldn’t stop there, you need to start thinking about song structure and what else you need to match to have your mixes in perfect synchronization and harmony every mix.
Your goal should be to create perfect seamless mixes every mix.
Blame the media! All this TV, PlayStations, cell phones, Internet and DVDs are the cause of ADHD, obesity and will negatively affect your child's health. A sweeping generalization, as my father was so fond of saying! Before we examine the hyperactive child and the other problem areas associated with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), let us look at some common symptoms and some solutions for children with rather special needs.
It will probably be the child's teacher who will first notice that there may be a problem as the child (if indeed s / he has ADHD). Non-stop motion, fidgeting and failure to focus are going to impact negatively on the child's grades. Disruptive children may also affect negatively on their brothers and sisters' academic achievements purely by the disturbance and noise they make. Not to mention putting a strain on the parents' marriage. Once properly diagnosed, you will have to make an informed choice about ADHD medications but here are four tips to help you cope with the hyperactivity.
1st – Reduce Media Use. All media is not bad. It may be educational or just for fun. The main thing you can do as a parent is to find out what your kids are watching and doing with this stuff. Even soft porn TV programs can lead to kids imitating what they see on the screen, leading to a rather too early experimentation with sex. Much better to control the use of the media and explain that sex and violence are a no-no and why! Then, make sure that there is lots of active outdoor stuff you can do with them – hiking, biking and skating, just to mention a few.
2nd – Plan Your Kids' Day. Just a bit of planning and telling your child what is going to happen during the day makes a great difference to you and him or her. First your child knows what is coming and so do you! This helps to reduce stress and chaos all round.
3rd- The Teacher Is Your Ally. You need to have a really good relationship with their teacher.
You can check with her about how your child is behaving in the classroom. It is a good way of keeping an eye on their progress because a lot of the hyperactivity may occur in the classroom setting – answering out of turn, relationships with classmates, interfering and accessibility to focus.
4th – Avoid Shopping Malls. If you have shopping to do, try to make sure that you do not drag your kid along. Research has shown that this type of outing is adjusting for children with ADHD. Much better to make sure that the child stays with a friend at home, while you get a break and can do your shopping in peace!
Are you worried about conventional ADHD medication for your child? You may know that the child's development (weight and height) is negatively affected compared with other children.

If you're serious about getting the most out of yourself, your game, and any lessons you take I encourage you to finish this article to get a clear understanding of your innate learning style.
What do I mean by learning styles? You have your own way of learning that is decidedly different than mine. I understand this and am skilled at tapping your individual style so that you can learn in a way that supports you. Not my teaching style. Does this make sense? The problem is with the "one size fits all" approach that so many golf instructors and mental game coaches use. They are trying to have their students / clients conform to their teaching style!
This leads to all kinds of needless issues for you in your skill development. Have you noticed this is what the traditional education system does as well? It's called rote learning. Their position is: "We spoon feed you the pabulum WE know is right for you. And it is YOUR responsibility to figure out how to swallow it!"
I am as serious as a heart attack with this. Yet as you know if you've frequented my website, I do not simply raise a pile of questions and leave you hanging. You'll have practical tools to make the changes you need. Not what I want you to need.
Technical and Natural Learning
Ok, there are two fundamental approaches to learning. Technical and Natural. These terms are not carved in stone so do not get attached to the labels. It's the learning we're after. The technical learner prefers to use the left brain approach. Enjoys the "how" questions and all the nuances of learning. They do best with specific things to think about along the way and put in their game. This without question is the predominant approach of the modern golf world. Training aids, 1000's of technical "tips" for your game.
The Natural approach is more right brained, creative. These people prefer to get a "sense" of what they're learning. Without being encumbered by any technical details. These people would destroy their chances of playing well if they went to David Leadbetter. You must take the time to ask yourself which approach truly resonates with you. Do not allow yourself to buy into the golf establishment that incessantly promotes the technical side of learning. It is killing the games of half the golfing public!
Neither approach is inherently better than the other. Yet one is far worse than the other to you if you're on the wrong path! Each has their benefit to people and the natural learner can of course benefit from some technical teaching. Yet not at the expense of their need for simple pictures and kinesthetic experience of what they are learning. And the technical players perform at a far higher level when they learn to "let go" of their conscious mind with all its details on the swing and simply "play" golf. Not "think" golf swing.
Make Sure You're On the Right Learning Path for You
I am not overstating this. If Lee Trevino attempted to follow Ben Hogan and try to use the techniques he Promotes Lee would have had a career as a caddy, not the sensational player he was. Lee is a "play by feel" learner and Ben is clearly technical and "pound it from the ground up" proceedural player. So please do yourself a life changing favor and determine which approach suits you the best and follow it.
There are golf instructors out there that understand this. Yet usually it's the ones who have been around a long time. In terms of mental game training I teach both ways. My approach is to employ both sides of the brain, not just one! It's kind of silly to imagine most people are being taught and are learning with only one side of their brains.
I can literally guarantee your learning will accelerate after applying the strategies in my system. And every golf lesson you ever have will have more power to you. Your ability to integrate what you're learning will increase. You'll make your instructor look like a genius! But it's all because you took the time to find a teacher who can instruct the way YOU need to learn, not how THEY want to teach.
This is a very powerful distinction, would not you agree?

Colin David’s mortal body left this world on 25 Feb., 2008, but his soul breathes in his art and people. Colin was one of those good adroit painters who fashion human anatomy with their skill and imagination. Just like Ustad Allah Baksh, Sadqain, Shakir Ali, Saeed Akhtar, Colin portrayed women figure as a special element in his painting. He was a superb draftsman with a technical perfection that is all too rare. According to an art critic Marjorie Husain, Colin used to paint non traditional style in the restricted ambiance of Ziaul Haq era which consolidated his position as most popular artists in time.
Colin was born in Karachi in 1937; he began his art education at the University of Punjab when the fine arts departments opened its door to male students in 1956. According to Niilofer Farrukh he once ran away from home because his father, a journalist, did not allow him to take up Art as a profession. Colin David was among the first group of three young men who were taught by Khalid Iqbal, and by Anna Molka Ahmed who was hugely pleased by the talented trio. She included them in many of the Department projects and in later years, spoke of their success with pride. After doing masters Colin got opportunity to study in UCL where he was guided by sir William Cold Stream, an artist who painted in “Euston Road” group style. There Colin got opportunity to paint from life and found his artistic meter. It was a time when Naz Ikramullah was taking a course of Lithography at the Slade, and Colin mentioned meeting her in letters home.
Returning to Pakistan in 1962 Colin rejoined the faculty of Fine arts department of Punjab University, and remained there until 1964, but differences with Anna Molka Ahmed caused him to leave the department and join the National College of Arts, where Shakir Ali was the Principal. Colin remained there, an integral part of the college for 25 years.
In those times of experimentation Colin developed a unique, distinctive style which showed his own inclination. His first solo exhibition, a collection of figure studies in oils painted with great luminosity was held in Karachi in 1970 at “The Gallery” where Colin hailed great appreciation. His work in the genre of the nude inspired new art collectors. The element of design in a form of “figure” always creates balance and harmony in his compositions. Sense of space was an important subject in his paintings. Colin explored the female figure as a symbol of beauty and presented “women as a women”
Colin successfully portrayed the sensitive studies of children at play. In one of his painting he portrayed a child while eating toffee while un wrapping it, chubby fingers persevering, and an expression of total single mindedness on the child’s face. It increased the UNICEF interest in his art. Many of his art pieces went to foreign art collectors.
It was ironical that in his life many times he was obliged to hold exhibition in his home and unnamed spots for selected audience since he was unable to show his work publicly. Once he said “In the earlier stages of my career when figure painting was artistically acceptable, my exhibitions were always highly successful. The public understood and appreciated my work. They still do of course, but it means my exhibitions become elitist.”
In last days of Coulin, despite of bad health he continued to work and exhibited his art work in Karachi and remained popular.
Time goes, you say? Ah, no! Alas, time stays, we go.

Ten Good Reasons to Remodel Your RV:
1.Remodeling is the most economical way to get a true upgrade. As opposed to trading in your RV, remodeling enables you to add the features you need and the look you’ve always wanted at a mere fraction of the cost of a new RV.
2.Remodeling is the process of customizing and decorating an RV to suit your specific lifestyle as well as your personal tastes. There’s no other way to accomplish this task.
3.Tasteful and competent remodeling adds value to an RV. This added value ultimately results in a higher selling price. Remodeled RVs also tend to sell faster because interested buyers don’t want to miss out on an irreplaceable item.
4.Remodeled RVs tend to be of a higher quality than those that that haven’t. Remodeling, when done properly, is a successful collusion of creativity, quality materials, and workmanship. While some companies claim to accomplish this feat at the factory, it’s hard to compete with a proud owner that has all the time in the world.
5.The primary difference between a $175,000 RV and a $375,000 RV is the interior. Shrewd owners use skillful interior remodeling and selective upgrades to create a luxury RV at a fraction of the cost of a new high-end model.
6.Remodeling is extremely enjoyable as well as rewarding. Whether you’re changing the style, or adding new features, remodeling projects are often filled with excitement and anticipation of a new living space.
7.Even though high-end RVs cost considerably more than a typical home, many lack even the most basic amenities including dishwashers, garbage disposals, book shelves, desks, and Internet access.
8.Remodeled RVs have significantly more storage space than new models. RV manufacturers don’t have the time to install closet organizers, drawer dividers, rotating shelves, and pull-out cabinet inserts.
9.Even though there are more than two million full-time RVers, there’s no such thing as a special model for full-timers. The qualities that make a good full-timing RV have to be implemented by its owners.
10.A huge number of people routinely remodel their RVs. The five most commonly performed remodeling projects are:
a. Replacing or upgrading the flooring
b. Reupholstering the furniture
c. Upgrading the window treatments
d. Painting or wallpapering the walls
e. Replacing the dinette with a table and set of chairs
Do you have a small backyard and wish you could indulge in that great tasting fruit straight from the tree, not having to suffer commercially under ripe, tasteless fruit?
Espaliering can help you do this by creating a tree in a two-dimensional plane.
Do not let a small garden deter you from realizing your dream of growing fresh fruit from your own tree. This technique of growing trees has been popular in Europe since the Middle Ages and may even have been used in ancient Egypt. Visitors traveling through many European countries have very often thought they were looking at grape vines, which were in fact apple or pear trees or almost any other type of fruit tree you could mention.
Espaliering (es-pal-yer-ing) allows you to produce fruit trees against a wall or fence without interfering with open space; You can also use trellising, even turn your fruit trees into a fruit bearing hedge. You can successfully grow several fruit trees in a very limited space using this method yet you will find that the fruit is barely compromised.
Visit your local garden and center research what fruit is OK with your local climatic conditions. Some varieties of apple, for example Granny Smith, Jonathan, and Rome Beauty are tip bearing fruit and should be avoided as it's much more difficult to keep these fruiting. Also, avoid fruit trees on standard rootstocks.
It is preferred to start your initiation into this form of producing fruit by using dwarf rootstock. Apples and pears are the best trees to start with as they both bear fruit for about twenty years (that's a great investment). Most importantly, their branches are flexible which allows you to bend and shape them.
The ground preparation and aftercare of the espalier is the same as for the free standing tree to maintain its growth and health. The pruning and shaping of this type of tree are no more time consuming than the standard type of tree. As a matter of fact, because you can reach and see what you're doing, pruning and harvesting are a lot easier.
If you are going to train your trees against a fence or wall set the plants about 8 inches from the wall to encourage air circulation, but first you need to create support for the trees to be trained on. When you are starting out the simplest method of espaliering is the horizontal method but as you become more profitable, or if the bug gets to you, you can try others such as Palmette, cordon, verrier, Belgian fence or fan.
What you are trying to do is train your fruit trees to grow horizontally like the way grape vines are grown on wood, wire or metal. To grow against a wall or fence use eye screws securely set in horizontal lines. The first horizontal wire should be 15 inches above ground level, then space the others 14-18 inches apart to a height of about 6 feet, or whatever height you're comfortable with, and thread these with 14 gauge galvanized wire.
Alternately, if you want a free standing fruit hedge, build a wooden frame or stretch 14 gauge wire fixed between 4×4 posts about 15 foot apart, with the wires running horizontally 14 18 inches apart. You can make the structure to suit your own specifications.
You are now ready to collect and plant your fruit trees, the ideal being a one year old which has been grafted onto dwarf stock; These are referred to as "whips" as they have no branches at this early stage. Choose wintertime to start off your fruit trees when the plant is dormant.
Plant the trees about 15 feet apart and about 8 inches from the wall, and then you need find a bud about 18 inches from ground level and cut off the wood above it.
Come spring time allow 3 buds only to develop, the top one is left to establish itself vertically as the main trunk, choose a pair of buds opposite each other to form the bottom limbs, and as they develop, train the shoots by gently bending the Young shoots to grow horizontally along the bottom wire using ties to hold them to the desired shape. Tie the branches into place as soon as possible as it is much easier to work with supple shoots than older woodier branches.
Follow this example annually till you've reached the height you want and then prune off the trunk flush with the top tier of side branches. Now the tree is established, keep the desired shape and make sure forward or backward shoots are removed or any branches that do not fit into the pattern.
A typical espalier will be 6-8ft tall with 3-4 sets of horizontal branches and it will usually take between 5-7 years to create this structure and start harvesting fruit.
As you became accomplished in the art of espaliering, you might want to add to your fruit collection. Apricots, Plums, Cherry trees all respond well to this type of pruning; But as their branches are not so flexible they are usually trained into different patterns.
Outlining an essay or paper before writing may seem like an unnecessary step. After all, shouldn’t you just START writing?
Having an outline is very important though. It can make the rest of the writing faster and better. Here are 8 reasons why:
1. Enhances Creativity: Taking the time to outline is actually giving you a time-out to just brainstorm freely before you start writing your essay or paper. Once you start writing, you’re thinking of a hundred things at once – what word to use next, what this sentence is going to say, what your paper is actually about. With all that thinking, you don’t have the opportunity to stretch your imagination on what you could really write about.
2. Saves New Ideas: By taking this time-out to outline, not only do you have the freedom to be more creative – you’re giving yourself the chance to capture new ideas and putting them somewhere. They can be added to a section or just filed somewhere to find a home later.
3. Leads to Discovery: Outlining forces you to think about order of ideas and transitions between them. It makes you look for how to fit things together – thereby helping form connections that you might’ve otherwise looked over.
4. Maintains Balance: As you fill out sections with ideas, you can easily tell which areas need more or less attention and detail. Having half the paper be about 1 point while the other 2 points get a sentence each makes for a poor essay.
5. Guides Organization and Writing: Once you’re done, an outline is like a roadmap through your essay. It lets you quickly see where the road is turning and where it’s heading – where you’re making stops and what things you’re just passing by.
6. Keeps Focus: Having a predefined roadmap keeps you focused on the current sentence or paragraph.. No need for pauses to figure out what’s next – just refer to the outline.
7. Saves Time: Without the need for pauses, you can write continuously and more efficiently.
8. Forces Details: By thinking through the big ideas during outlining, you can focus on just the important details as you’re writing. You can concentrate on making the writing strong and clear vs. trying to make sense of it all.
When it comes to being able to meet women, would not it be nice if you were a mind reader? I mean seriously would not it be cool if you could know what they are thinking at all times. That way you would never make a mistake or say the wrong things. Well I can not promise you that you will always know what she is thinking, but I can give you some basics that will help you to read her like a book. Once you know how to do this well you will be the envy of all your friends because they will wish they were as good with women as you are. For a woman body language is huge, so let's discuss how to interpret what she is saying with her body.
You need to learn to read what she is saying with her body. When you are talking does she look you in the eye and maintain the glance or does she always look away and at other people. A woman who is really interested in you will always maintain her look at you. I am not saying she will stare at you like a weirdo I am just saying that she will look at you when you speak.
Another huge body language cue is if she Touches your hand, or in the case when she does not if you touch her hand does she pull away. Those are pretty straight forward in what they mean. If a woman is OK with you touching her hand for extended periods of times she might just be OK with your touching of others parts of her as well.
Notice the direction she is pointing her torso. If the two of you are sitting together and she is leaving in that is a very good sign. If she is leaving away from you it is likely she is not into you or worse you creep her out altogether. Notice what she does with her arms too, they are a very good indicator of interest. When are you speaking does she cross her arms or leave them open? When her arms are crossed she is in disgrace, or worse disbelief of what you are saying.
Body language is an excellent way to read a woman because most of the time we speak body language with conscious knowing we are doing it. So the message you get from her body is the truth despite what her lips might be telling you. Some researchers believe that over 80 percent of communication is non-verbal so watching these cues can be the key to your success with the opposite sex.
