How to Find the Best Gaming Laptops

We can accomplish many different things with contemporary PCs and Macs in this day and age. I am often filled with awe whenever I ponder the possibilities with my notebook computer. Of course, I will never use all the capabilities that it offers, but it feels good to know that they're there if I need them.

Personal computers are cool because they cater to us all. For example, many of my friends thrive off the video game options that contemporary computers offer. They always search for the best gaming laptops before they make a purchase.

You can find the best gaming laptops in a number of places. Best Buy and Circuit City are the first two places that I would hit up if I'm in the market for the best gaming laptops. You can certainly find what you need in these electronic superstores.

Simply go inside, browse around, and compare the prices of the stuff that they offer. Try to find out if the two stores offer the same current specials or if one is cheaper. Superstores often guarantee that they have the lowest price around. The lowest price is one of the things that you should seriously consider and take full advantage of.

The Internet is another factor that you should think about, when you are in the market for the best gaming laptops. Of course, you do not have to purchase from the store you're browsing in, although it's wise to check out any and all laptops you can in-person.

You should hop on the World-Wide-Web and check out great deals on the best gaming laptops. You will be sure that you will get the lowest price possible if you go by this route. It would also be smart to check out the recent reviews on a variety of laptop computers before you make a purchase.

Choosing between a Mac and a PC is also a very important aspect to consider when it comes to purchasing the best gaming laptops. Macs are known for their digital editing and artistic capabilities. However, PCs are the way to go if you're interested in the best gaming laptops because most computer games are designed for them.

Being Able To Tell The Age of Golf Cart’s Batteries Is Very Beneficial To Every Golf Cart Owner

Thank you for taking the time to read this article. You honor me and I hope that you’ll find the following information helpful in two ways. The first is that you’ll gain a better understanding of your golf cart’s batteries and in doing so, secondly, you’ll get more than the expected amount of service life from your batteries. Now let’s learn some helpful information about your cart’s batteries, shall we?

Many times individuals have had to replace old and bad batteries that were supposed to be “not that old”. They did not know how to identify the age of their golf cart batteries. Weekly, we see the saddened faces of people who bought a electric cart elsewhere and were misled or down right deceived when they were told that the cart had recently new batteries when in actuality the batteries were over 4 years old.

Another group of people that need to know the age of their cart’s batteries are individuals who are having problems with either their battery charger not working properly or the performance of the golf cart is lagging. Either way, having the knowledge of how old the batteries are can be a big asset in diagnosing the problem. Regardless of which group you are in, here is the way you can identify the age of the battery.

On most golf car batteries somewhere near the battery terminal post, usually engraved in dot matrix print or stamped in letters, you will see a letter followed by a number.

Reading from the left to the right the first digit is a letter and the second is a number. The letter is the month of manufacturing and the number is the last digit of the year of manufacturing. Hence, in this example the date code on the battery is September of 2013. We know this because the letter is the ninth letter of the alphabet and equates to the ninth month of the year which is September. We know its 2013 because of the newness look of the battery. If the battery looked aged and the sides swelled out we could calculate that it is a 1993. However, we used a new battery just delivered to us at the time of writing this article: 03-2014.

Please note that some batteries have a code date on a sticker usually found on the side toward the top. In addition there may be several coats of battery terminal sprays that will need to be removed to see the imprinted code on the flat part of the lead post. Be careful not to create a spark when attempting anything around a lead acid battery. Sparks can and will lead to the battery exploding. Unfortunately, this author has both seen and experienced it too many times. Again, be careful what you do around the golf cart or any other battery for that matter.

Once you know the age of the batteries you can calculate several things concerning your golf cart. For example if you are contemplating purchasing a golf cart and want to know the age of the batteries you won’t have to rely on the seller’s ethics! You’ll be able to apply the great president, Ronald Regan’s philosophy:” trust but verify” to the situation.

Another thing that will help you when you know how old your golf car’s batteries is to be able to diagnose malfunctioning charging issues. Let’s say you can only drive your golf car for about twenty minutes after charging the batteries. If you have brand name batteries that are less than two years old, then we would probably rule out the batteries being the problem and look elsewhere starting with the battery charger or the golf car’s charging computer. However, if the golf car’s batteries are three years of age or older, then we would want to first check the batteries for being the drivability issue.

So we can see the major benefits of every golf car owner knowing how to tell the age of their golf cart’s batteries! I hope you found this article helpful in your understanding of your golf car, for helping you better take care of your golf car is the reason I write. Check out my blog for more great information about golf carts.

Soul Chord Progressions

Neo Soul is a Genre of modern soul which has elements of Soul from the 60’s and 70’s. It is known for being deeper and emotional then modern day R&B.

Neo soul tends to use a lot chords with emotion and tension. These chords generally came from the Jazz/Gospel background where chords are used both inside and outside of the technical scale.

Production wise, most chords will be in the 7th or 9th and Dominants chords to give that tension and fuller sound. It may sound complicated looking into the theory however, once your learn the chords within a given scale e.g. Db then it becomes easier to improvise.

Some of the earlier Neo Soul artists from the 90’s are D’Angelo, Erykah Badu and Angie Stone. They all have different styles but maintain that soul feeling. D’Angelo has a very live jazzy feel to his tracks, he also plays all the instruments in his productions. Erykah Badu and Angie Stone have more of the electronic produced soul flavour.

There are many Neo Soul Artists who do not like the title Neo Soul, they simply refer to it as “Soul”. They claim that modern R&B has taken a different direction. Modern R&B doesn’t really use the jazzy chord progression like traditional soul did. Rather it relies much more on an energetic feeling mainly for the dance floors. Many recent R&B tracks don’t even have chords or a melody, they simply just have a bassline and a drum pattern. The vocals over the top and the rhythm is what keeps it in the “Soul/R&B” category. Some recent R&B even has a 4×4 house/dance type of rhythm.

Parenting: Not for the Weak

Parenting isn’t easy… that’s why sayings such as, ‘it takes a village to raise a child,’ came about. Have you ever heard a non-parent complain because a Mother took time off of work to be with her sick child? As if it were actually an enjoyable experience to deal with a screaming feverish baby or a floor-puking toddler? Non-parents don’t understand what it’s like to be a parent.

New Mothers are lucky if they get two hours of sleep in between nursing, have to comfort a screaming, unappreciative baby who seems upset with everything 24/7, and heal from giving child birth. Along with that comes trying to take a shower at hyper speed, not being able to poop in a toilet alone, and fighting the annoyance that their husband expects sex every night, much less a clean house and laundry that’s put away.

The eye-opening part comes when parents start to realize that being a parent never actually gets much easier… sure once your child is 2-4 years old they begin being much more independent, can communicate their needs and dress themselves but with that comes temper tantrums, a strong/stubborn opinion which often contradicts your own, and destruction of your home at an all-new level (think crayon mural on your walls, play dough in your carpet, and glitter EVERYWHERE).

As they near the tween age they become slightly less destructive and tone it down to just messy. Glasses with milk and straws left around, five pairs of shoes in front of the door, you get the idea. The temper tantrums turn into teen-like attitudes where they feel the need to argue with everything you say, roll their eyes, and think they’re right about everything because clearly they know everything.

I remember being like this with my parents, don’t you? It’s funny how much we understand and feel sorry for our parents for the things we’re now experiencing as parents. I have apologized a dozen times for my teenage years.

So, yes, parenting isn’t easy. It isn’t always glorious but it has its rewards. I love my daughter more than anyone and every day she makes me laugh. Every time we look at each other I see a piece of myself and notice quirks that she gets from me. I’m continually proud of her accomplishments. She is worth every dollar I spend, every deep breath I take to keep calm, and every effort I make to be a good Mom.

Parenting is rewarding because it’s difficult. Because you aren’t given a manual, you have to figure it out on your own and you feel joy when things are going well. It’s worth it because that little creature you made will be your friend in life, a source of excitement as you watch them live, and a comfort when they stop you dead in your tracks and say, “I love you.”

When you feel tired, frustrated, and anxious, remember why you wanted to be a parent in the first place. You are sharing your life with a person you created. You have a privilege that not every human is even able to have. You’ve been given a gift so find ways to enjoy it. You are strong because parenting is not for the weak and yet here you stand, doing it!

The Advantage and Disadvantage of Some Types of Fabrics

Different fabrics have different features. If we know some of these, it will be beneficial for us to make an ideal purchase.

1 Cotton cloth

It is the generic term for all kinds of cotton textiles. It is often used to make fashion, casual clothing, underwear and shirts. It is light, warm, soft and snug. Its hygroscopicity and breathability are excellent, yet it is apt to shrink and wrinkle, so it looks not so stiff and smooth. You need to iron it often if you wear the clothing made of this fabric.

2 Linen

It refers to the fabric made from some bast fibers such as cannabis, flax, ramie and jute. It is generally used to make casual clothing and work clothing. Currently it is also used to make summer clothing. It possesses good strength and has good hygroscopicity, heat conduction and breath ability. However, it is uncomfortable to wear and it looks coarse and hard.

3 Silk

It is the generic term for all the silk textiles that woven from the material of silk yarns. The same with cotton clothing, it has various types and each of them has its own particular features. It is often used to make variety of clothes, especially the lady's dress. It looks bright and lustrous. It is light, smooth and ventilate. Once you wear the clothing made of this fabric, you will look elegant and you will feel very comfortable. However, despite possessing so many advantages, it still has many disadvantages, for example, it is easy to wrinkle and fade color and it is not so durable.

4 The wool fabric

It refers to the textile made of different kinds of wool and cashmere. Generally speaking, it is often used to make formal and high quality clothes such as the full dress, the business suit and the overcoat. It is wrinkle free, wearable, soft and stiff. It is also flexible and can keep warm well. However, it is hard to be washed and not suitable to make summer clothing.

5 Leather

It is the tannage made from animal skin and it is mostly used to make winter clothing. It can be classified into two types. One type is leather and the other is designing fur. Designing fur is light and good at keeping warm. Moreover, it looks noble and dignity. However, it is so expensive and hard to be stored that it needs your special care.

6 The chemical fiber

It is the fiber made from polymeric compound. It has two types, namely artificial fiber and synthetic fiber. Both are colorful, soft, drooping, stiff and sleek, but their heat resistance, hygroscopicity and breathability are not so good. It will be out of shape if contacting with heat and it is easy to produce static electricity. It can be used to make different kinds of clothes, yet the clothes made of this fabric are not high-grade.

Shaun T Insanity VS the P90X Workout Program – Which One is Better?

Over the next couple minutes you will learn the comparisons and differences between these two rival “workout at home” exercise programs.

The P90X workout program used to be the one exercise program that everyone knew thanks to early morning and late night infomercials. Recently Beachbody added a new program to the game that to some may be considered a rival, that program is Shaun T Insanity.

But which one is more intense?

Comparably they are both equal in their own rights but each workout program focuses on a different approach towards fitness.

I have personally used both programs and this gives me the rare opportunity to offer a first hand look at both the P90X workout program and Shaun T Insanity. After this article you will be fully equipped with the answers you are looking for.

Which works better? P90X or the Insanity workout?

Great questions, though it’s hard to put both workout programs side by side as it’s not a simple apples to apples comparison but more like apples to oranges. Both programs are capable of offering a huge physical challenge but each has it’s own approach and it’s own target results. I’ll explain.

The P90X workout program is a 90 day system which could otherwise be considered an “at home boot camp”. You will need a chin up bar, a chair, a set of dumbbells and/or bands, shoes, plus about 1 hour to 1 hour and a half 6 days a week. The 7th day is an optional stretch or complete rest day.

From first hand experience I like to look at P90X as a “all-in-one” program. It is not designed to just bulk you up, it’s not going to just help you lose weight, it’s not just balance, and it’s not just cardio.

The P90X workout program just tosses a bit of everything into the equation. You lift heavy one day (or light if you want);, you’re punching and kicking with Kenpo karate another day, and to top it off on other days you will be doing 1 and a half hours of Yoga for a complete mind/ body/ soul adventure.

You will go through three phases of 1 month each in P90X with each month switching it up. Most of the cardio, stretch, and balance routines stay the same. The difference in each phase is that you change out the resistance workouts so that your muscles are constantly challenged so they will always be receptive to the workout rather than plateauing.

Shaun T Insanity takes a completely different approach. The workout program is 60-days in length and is based solely on Plyometrics, Core, and Cardio training. You will not lift weights, you will not do chin ups, you don’t need a chair, and the workouts range from 35-45 minutes the first phase to 1 hour and 15 minutes the second phase.

You will need very good shoes, preferably a mat to jump on, and near perfect form to avoid injury.

You can already see that Shaun T Insanity is different than P90X so how are the comparable?

The Insanity workout program, though shorter in length, is based on maximum effort Interval cardio. Meaning it’s all about fast, powerful, and coordinated moves. You will still be doing push-ups just like in P90X but otherwise you only use your body, gravity, and will power to push through.

I am telling you from personally experience, with Insanity you literally drip buckets of sweat, seriously! Just because it’s shorter than P90X doesn’t mean it’s not as intense.

You will not be running in one place for an hour, you are jumping around, squatting, balancing, and crunching your core. Shaun T Insanity is on the same level as P90X but the difference is you don’t need extra equipment, you won’t be lifting weights, and the workouts go by much faster.

Insanity is more for the leaner ripped look while P90X will allow for more muscle size and strength.

If you have already completed P90X then I will tell you this. Shaun T Insanity is like taking P90X Plyometrics, doubling the intensity, and doing it 6 days a week.

So which one is better, P90X or Shaun T Insanity?

I don’t think you will find one “better than the other” but what you will find are two different approaches towards fitness.

P90X is a longer 90 day program that has longer workouts but incorporates a slower pace compared to Insanity offering more time to adapt and become stronger. Also you are lifting weights so there is more potential to gain size and muscle definition.

Shaun T Insanity is 60 days with much shorter and faster pace workouts, you won’t be able to adapt as fast and you won’t get great results by pausing through each workout. Insanity is a balls to the walls style workout, it’s straight forward and fast but demands major motivation and energy.

Both workout programs have a “mix-it-up” style so each one changes things throughout the program so there is no monotony.

One final note, if you have knees or lower body joint issues, Insanity may not be for you. It is based on a lot of jumping and really can and will tax your knees and joints if not performed correctly. It is much higher impact compared to P90X. That is something to consider when looking at the two side by side.

Because of the approach Insanity takes I like to look at it this way. If you feel you are P90X capable and are in decent shape, if you can do push-ups, chin-ups, and if you can handle interval cardio, then either program is suitable.

If you cannot do some or all of the previously mentioned exercises then it’s better to avoid Insanity until you can at least complete P90X. Insanity is not a beginner workout, so if you just stepping back into the physical fitness game, throw the ego out, start somewhere small and build up.

The History of Pokemon – How Did Pokemon Become Popular?

The history of Pokemon began with one single japan man named Satoshi Tajiri. It was his hobby. Over time he decided to put his idea of catching creatures into practice, to give children the same thrills he had as a child of catching insects and tadpoles. Tajiri and friends worked a lot of hours on designs and Tajiri even went with unpaid hours to make his dreams come true for the game. It nearly drove partners bankrupt, and several employees quit due to financial conditions. The first Pokemon games, Pokemon red and green, came to Japan on February 27, 1996, which fulfilled Tajiri’s dreams. Because of the success rate in Japan with the Pokemon games, they released it overseas.

The anime, as well as Pokemon Yellow, marked Pikachu as the most popular and recognized creature in Pokemon history, turning it into the franchise’s mascot. This led to a small spin-off game called Hey You, Pikachu!, which was released in Japan on December 12, 1998, and in North America on November 6, 2000. This was a virtual-pet game, utilizing the Nintendo 64’s Voice Recognition Unit to let the players interact verbally with Pikachu. When the anime finished following the games’ story with Ash’s defeat in the Pok√©mon League in January 1999, it started a new season in a new region called the Orange Archipelago.

A major overhaul of the main game series occurred when Pokemon arrived on the Game Boy Advance on November 21, 2002 when Ruby and Sapphire Versions were released in Japan. Trainers found themselves in the southern land called Hoenn where 135 new Pokemon were waiting to be discovered. The games reached North America on March 18, 2003 and had many new features, the most prominent being Pokemon Contests, Double Battles, Pokemon Abilities and Natures for each Pokemon. Also introduced in these versions were more types of weather and two new villain teams, Team Magma and Team Aqua..

The anime began a new series, Advanced Generation series, which started in Japan on the same day as the release of the games and reached North America almost a year later. A great deal was changed in this series, including the introduction of a new main character, May, based on her game counterpart.

There are several generations of Pokemon, and there is still future generations to come. When the world changes, so does the world of Pokemon. 2016 marks the 20th anniversary of Pokemon, and will be celebrated by the re-release of the original Generation I core series games on the Nintendo 3DS’s. There are currently six generations of Pokemon, and over this time period, there are many games, including spin offs, along with anime, movies, manga, a Trading Card Game, music, and a musical.

The Fastest Way to Start Your Lawn Mower When It’s Been Sitting Idle Since Last Fall

If you’re like most home owners who mow their own lawns, you probably find that the first time you go to start your lawn mower in the spring, it is a lot harder to start than it is for the rest of the lawn mowing season. Maybe you get frustrated with it, forget that you aren’t a teenager any more, and throw your back out giving the pull-start a furious yank. Maybe you then think to yourself  “I wish I had one of those electric start lawn mowers”. If you have an electric-start lawn mower, maybe you are thinking “man, this thing has electric start and it still sounds dead. Thank god I don’t have one of those manual start models.”

By the time you have been trying to start your lawn mower for a few minutes, you have probably tried some with the choke on, and then maybe your “helpful” neighbor came by and told you that you probably flooded the engine. So maybe you try starting it a few times with the throttle opened up a bit and the choke off. If you have a manual-start machine, you may be contemplating your impending chiropractic bill, and wondering whether hiring the neighbor’s kid to mow your lawn might not be such a bad idea after all.

So why can it be so hard to start an engine that has been sitting idle for six months? If you examined the spark plug under a microscope, you might figure out the problem. If you look at the tip of the spark plug with your naked eye, it will probably look fine, but if you replace that plug with a brand new clean dry sparkplug, you would probably find that your lawn mower will likely start in seconds.

The key to the mystery lies in something at the microscopic level the happens on the surface of the ceramic insulator of a spark plug over time in a machine that is stored outdoors. As the temperature and the relative humidity cycles, day after day, over time, micro-droplets condense on and re-evaporate from the surface of the ceramic insulator of your spark plug. Each time these micro-droplets form, they rearrange the tiny carbon particles that were deposited on your spark plug the last time you ran your engine. The growing of the droplets as they form pushes those particles together into conductive pathways that wind up providing an alternate path for electrical current (across the surface of the ceramic insulator instead of across the spark gap) when you try to start your lawn mower.

The carbon particles don’t quite short things out, but they provide a path whose electrical resistance is low enough so that there is no spark, or the spark has so little energy that it won’t ignite the charge in the cylinder. Once the engine starts, the heat of the burns within the calendar clears up this problem in a few minutes, so when you go to start the engine again the next week, it starts fine.

One easy solution for this initial-start problem is to replace the spark plug. Of course, if you want a cheaper solution that doesn’t require a trip to the store, I have one for you, and it comes in the form of a hot flame. A propane torch works best, but if you don’t happen to have one handy, a butane lighter or a gas stove burner will do. You see, there is a reason that the ceramic insulator surrounding the center electrode of your spark plug is made of the particular material it is made of. The surface properties of that material actually catalyze the burning off of carbon deposits when the ceramic gets hot enough. Of course, when your lawn mower has not yet started, nothing has yet gotten it “hot enough”.

To solve this problem, remove the spark plug from your lawn mower, and get a hot clean flame ready (either a propane torch or a butane lighter, or gas burner on a stove). Holding on to the end of the spark plug that usually connects to the spark plug wire, stick the other end (the spark end) of the spark plug into the flame for a few seconds while rotating the spark plug a few times, heating the center electrode and the surrounding ceramic. It only takes a few seconds. After you take the spark plug out of the flame, take a look at the ceramic material surrounding the center electrode.

You should notice that the ceramic insulator surrounding the center electrode of your spark plug is now bright white, where before it might have been off-white or gray. Now your spark plug is as good as new. Put it back in your lawn mower, and enjoy how it roars quickly to life!

Back Pain – Is Bowling Out of the Question?

When you suffer from back pain there are certain sports that you may want to take part in that can increase the risk of aggravating the problem. Certain risky sports you would consider as high intensity sports are football and gymnastics. These types involve a lot of intense twisting and bending that puts extreme pressure on the spine.

Bowling is a not a high intensity sport therefore, you would consider it to be a low risk sport. However, certain bowling techniques can put a lot of stress on your spinal area. That is why bowling is considered a medium risk sport when back pain is involved.

Certain techniques in bowling have the affect of twisting your spine when you are rolling the ball forward. At the same time of rolling the ball both your upper body and your lower body turn in opposite directions. There is also a risk in how you carry the ball. Bowling balls are quite heavy and when you hold it with your arm fully extended this also puts pressure on your back.

If you wish to continue with bowling and you understand the risks involved then you can follow these guidelines that may help you avoid further problems with your back.

• As they say it is all in the technique and when it comes to bowling your technique is very important. Speak to a professional bowler who will have the experience and knowledge to advise you on developing a better throwing technique.

• Bowling balls can be very heavy and with a weakened back it is important that you do not use a ball that is too heavy for you. It is also important that you hold the ball correctly with your fingers positioned securely in the holes so that you can release the ball in one smooth movement.

• It is a good idea to do strength training exercises that will build strength into your upper and lower body. When your back muscles are weak they cannot support and protect the spine effectively. This makes your spine more prone to injury because it is less able to cope with the pressure and stress that is put onto it.

• After a back injury you may want to consider wearing extra support for your back. This can come in the form of a corset. This can provide extra support to your spine and back muscles. It also has the added advantage that it reminds you why you are wearing it. This will make you more aware and careful when you are bowling.

Always seek a doctor’s advice if you have a medical condition before doing any form of new exercise.

Procuring And Testing Your Software

Companies wishing to develop software to help them run their business, may recruit a software developer to do it. This could be a database to manage your data, either collected from customers or an internal database of information needed to perform tasks. It is definitely that a company no matter how large has in house software developers, so they will look to outsource this work. Once the software has been designed, it is advisable that they seek a third company to test the software for bugs.

During this process it is like that the development company will offer their client a process called user acceptance testing. A user acceptance test is part of the process of handing over the software to the client and involves the client using the software and giving feedback on its usability.

Despite any reassurances of your developer, it is also wise to get a software testing company to test the software independently. This can mean recruiting a company to test your software, with a range of types of test. The best and most cost effective method, is to use a crowd sourced pay-per-bug service. This kind of service provides a range of technicians with a range of experience and expertise. It also means that you only pay when they find a bug, rather than paying a lump sum for the whole service, which may not find any bugs, but you've still got to pay it.

The types of testing involved would range from agile testing, which looks at the way in which users / customers use the software, performance testing, which stress tests the software under a certain workload, or destructive testing which attempts to make the software fail to reveal The vulnerabilities of the code and other methods.

Crowd sourced testing would also add an extra layer of insurance to the usability of your product. It means that a number of testers are employed, across different disciplines and experience, to test the software thoroughly and to ensure that your software is fit for use within your business.

Customer facing software such as a booking system for a hotel, or a game or an app, is obviously different to a piece of software used only by your employees. The stresses will be different and the feedback from the users, more easily obtained. Customers are harder to engage in feedback than employees. However, they are just as important, because if employees can not use the software there are major cost implications – that employees will not be able to continue their work until it is fixed.

The economic benefits of outsourcing software testing also can not be under estimated. Fixing bugs early is cheaper. Leaving bugs unfixed may make the problem worse and will be harder to sort out later, and therefore more expensive. And employing a software testing company separately from the developer will have benefits, whether the developer accepts this or not. It is an added cost to what is an expensive process already, but in the longer term, would make your software easier to use and happy staff are more productive and happy customers spend more.
